For years I’ve bought my Stampin’ Up! background stamps for wood mounting, stamping paper to inked stamp, like this:
- Place the stamp rubber-up on the table
- Ink up stamp, ink pad to rubber
- Carefully lay card stock onto stamp, aligning it as necessary
- Place scratch paper over card stock
- Rub scratch paper to transfer image
- Turn stamp upside-down to release card stock (or carefully pry off)
By the time Birch was released in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, I had my Stamparatus and I could begin buying cling background stamps. Incomplete stamped image? No problem! Need extra ink coverage for heat embossing? No problem!
So this card, although maybe not the typical 10-minute Jingle Jump offering, was designed for success!
It was pointed out that this card should be a portrait orientation, based on the direction of the birch markings. However, a quick glance out my front windows shows that although the bark on the trunk has vertical markings, the branches have horizontal marks. Who knew?
I love this curly ribbon (retiring and still available) and the puff paint (retired and gone).
