From gloomy north central Illinois, I welcome you to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who want to show you how much you can do with one stamp set — this time it’s Farmhouse Christmas from the 2018 Holiday Catalog. As for me, well, I have only to say that sometimes the vision doesn’t play out as expected, no matter how much time is spent on it! I tried (and I’ll probably try again), but today I need to go with Plan B:
This card was one offered at last month’s Jingle Jump. It’s heavily inspired by super stamper Amy Koenders. Sometimes you see something, and it just clicks! But despite my obsession with Buffalo Check (I’m wearing it at OnStage in Orlando this week!), Amy’s pattern for the tag, I chose the shiplap paper in the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper. The biggest challenge was the card base. I loved using Granite Gray, the same color as the stitched circle, but I was pretty sure my stampers wouldn’t agree. White was, well, boring. Old Olive seemed to be the right choice.
