Pucker Up, Sweetie!

Did you know yesterday was National Lipstick Day?  You may want to mark it on your 2019 calendar for July 29.

Not sure what a celebration for National Lipstick Day looks like, but I have the card:

Debra Burgin | Heartfelt Inkspiration | Stampin' Up! | Lemon Zest | I love pink grapefruit, so that's my spin on this set! Click for more details, please.

I had made this for the Stamp Review Crew Lemon Zest blog hop several weeks ago, but as you’ve seen, my blog was broken.  Really broken.

Anyway, I like lemons but I love pink grapefruit, so that was my interpretation.  This Grapefruit Grove embossing powder is simply amazing on Petal Pink card stock.

I pressed the Grapefruit Grove pad directly on both sides of the ribbon, then let it dry a bit.  Someone suggested this technique to me after I commented that I wanted the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon in a variety of colors — done!

Those embellishments on the tag are simply 1/4″ punches from Granny Apple Green cardstock, covered with Fine-Tip Glue (the final step on the card, of course!).

So about the lipstick.  I gave up wearing it years ago, but I do regularly wear tinted lip balm.  It’s not the makeup item I cannot leave the house without, however.  Can you guess what that is?
