I’m happy to be moving into a quieter few weeks, with time to catch my breath and regroup. So now, a look back at last weekend’s annual Host Appreciation event.
This living room display showed product and samples from the Garden Impressions Suite (see it on pages 128-130 of the Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalog). I loved getting these little displays ready. Two non-stamping details to note: the covered jar was a gift from the Thailand incentive trip last year and the sofa to the right is probably 45 years old. (I laughed out loud last week when I read that the average lifespan of a sofa is about 8 years!)
This is the card we made with this suite:
If you remember the old set Roses In Winter, this flower is a bit smaller. To create a fuller, more lush result, we stamped it on Petal Pink cardstock, stamping each layer once and immediately turning the stamp and re-stamping. The flower is fussy cut (not too fussy!), as are the leaves.
This beautiful corner die cut releases from the die surprisingly easy, if you use the “forward, turn, backward” technique with the Big Shot so that you are using different areas of the rollers and cutting pads. Tip: turning the die cut and paper is easier if you lift the cutting pad of the Magnetic Platform.
