This is an unusual extended weekend for us, with an early Father’s Day gathering here (as my other stepson is in town) and two host appreciation events. Believe me, there is list after list posted around the house!
This is a note card, which was the perfect size for the invitation for the open houses. I printed the insides and stamped the front panel — and you’d better know I used the Stamparatus! The challenge here was not the flowers, but the watercolor swash background.
Try as I might, I could not get it to stamp without blank areas, or “holes” in the image. I also wanted the Smoky Slate stamped off so it wasn’t to intense.
The Stamparatus saved the day! To stamp off, I just pressed a piece of scrap paper against the inked stamp (mounted on one of the Stamparatus plates), then stamped it on the panel. I did not put the panel in the corner, as you see in the photos on page 207, but moved it over to a mark I made with painter’s tape. That way, the plate is less tilted or angled when you stamp.
I adore this ribbon! If it was available in Blushing Bride or Mint Macaron or So Saffron, well, I’d be a happy stamper! Come to think of it, Blackberry Bliss would be luscious, or Poppy Parade, or Coastal Cabana … think I’ll make my way over to the Product Idea Sandbox that demonstrators can use for suggestions and plead with Stampin’ Up!
I’ll share details of the host event next week. I’m excited for the party to begin!
