Umbrella weather

This week I surrendered to the call of the wild — the untamed backyard, that is!  This is our fifth spring in this house, and after having some professional help with drainage and large bushes, I finally made a start on an area that has been perplexing me for years.

I was so excited about all the digging and planting ahead, I woke up really early Tuesday morning and spent most of the day outside, working to get the plants (and transplants) in place before the forecasted rain.

We have more rain ahead, but that’s OK — I’ll finally finish up some projects in the studio and begin the big reorganization of my cardstock and inks.  My garden will be happy, too!

We used a tiny bit of Fine-Tip Glue on the “open” raindrops.  The glue dries very quickly and gives a bit of a wet look.

Several of us at stamp camp in April agreed that the Weather Together set reminded us of the artist known as Flavia; I remember seeing her stationery products when I was in college.  She died in 2015 — her full name was Flavia Weedn

Good news:  My Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalogs arrived earlier this week and will be in the mail (or available for porch pick-up) soon.
