Do you mark up your Stampin’ Up! catalog? When I’m going through my first “serious” pass, I mark (1) stamp sets and other items to consider for my wish list and (2) samples for inspiration or to copy. I am ready with sticky notes for OnStage in Milwaukee in less than four weeks, when we’ll have in our hands the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. (I am squealing, in case you couldn’t hear!)
My inspiration for this happy card is on page 28 of the current catalog.
Please believe me when I say I looked high and low for those little dots; I finally found them quite a ways away, on page 135, in the Bunch of Blossoms set. It’s where the sentiment is from, too.
Instead of using the wonderful (but not very Post Office friendly) Faceted Gems, I punched simple circles from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
As for these images, well, there is only one way they are punched perfectly. It’s worth marking your stamps with a Sharpie to show which petal must be “up” — that is, which is the top petal. Stamping the images that way means you don’t have to keep rotating your stamped image (or the punch) to figure it out!
