Heavy sigh. Winter is still hanging on in north central Illinois. We had a day of furious (but short-lived) snow early in the week, but it’s still so very cold. However, that very morning I was surprised by a non-Stampin’ Up! visit from UPS with this treasure from my sister, Susan.
It’s not as wild as it looks here (in the basement with no natural lighting), but fun and fresh. If there is a 7-year-old boy (with a missing tooth) in the vicinity, you will find us both wrapped in it with a book.
So the fact that I am daydreaming under a handmade quilt instead of under a palm tree is just the way it will be for several months, at least! (I am penciling in a trip to Orlando to Stampin’ Up!’s 30th anniversary celebration at OnStage in November. Wanna come with?)
This card, inspired by Su Mohr, was from last weekend’s Inkspiration Saturday. It was the second project that used the Sponge Brayers I talked about yesterday. All three pairs of trees were stamped on a strip of Whisper White card stock, then the top half was brayered with Soft Sky and the bottom with Sahara Sand. The hardest thing about this card was getting the three squares lined up — cue the quilting ruler!
