So here it is, Valentine’s Day. I wish more people would see past the Hallmark romance fantasy and simply express love and affection and appreciation to a neighbor, coworker, or friend. Someone needs you.
Our relentless snow last week (“Nine consecutive days in a row of snow!” exclaimed one broadcaster) brought neighbors out with their snowblowers and shovels in a kind of competition of helpfulness. (Perhaps it was the Olympic spirit!) Some delivered treats and newspapers to those who don’t get out. We didn’t chat outside much, due to the bitter cold, but the phone lines were buzzing with well-being checks.
This card was one of the projects at the Big & Little stamp camp a few weeks ago. As I expected, the results were lovely, and I hope the girls have used the card to bring a little valentine sweetness to someone!
Be sure to watch for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop featuring this stamp set, Petal Palette. The hop starts Monday, February 19!
