Stamp Review Crew: Sale-A-Bration Bonus

Welcome to this “exceptional” edition of the Stamp Review Crew’s twice-monthly blog hop.  Normally we gather on the first and third Monday of each month to show off one stamp set.  But on this 5th Monday of the month, we’re sneaking in a bonus hop featuring the free-with-qualifying-purchase products of the 2018 Sale-A-Bration catalog.

There are 17 bloggers participating in this hop, and you may have arrived here from Tiddbits from Dawn (no doubt with a huge smile on your face!).  Remember to click the banner above for a complete list of blogs for this hop; all SRC hops are accessible at any time by visiting the Stamp Review Crew blog.

Like many others, I was transfixed when Stampin’ Up! demonstrated Heartfelt Blooms at OnStage in Salt Lake City last November.  The patent pending Distinktive design of this floral stamp is very unique; this kind of stamp, to quote the brochure, “lays down the ink at different opacities giving the finished image more depth” — something you really need to experience for yourself!

Stampin’ Up! suggests applying the ink lightly, but that can be a challenge if your ink pad is particularly “juicy.”  I was very successful using a rubber brayer, like SU! used to sell, to apply an even layer of ink.  Moreover, I made 20 of these images using my Stamparatus for an upcoming swap, and each one was perfectly positioned and stunning, if I may say so!

I hope you can see the shimmer on this card in the sequins, the ribbon and the Wink of Stella on the die cut.  Oh yes — the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies are another free Sale-A-Bration offering!  Unlike other items, these dies are not exclusive to SAB; you will see them in the upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  But they will not be free!  They were tops on my list and have not disappointed.

You’ll find the ingredients for this card at the end of the post.  Now on you go over to Heidi’s blog, RunningwScissorsStamper.  I know you’ll love what she has to show you!

I think I like the bouquets on the envelope flap even more than the one on the card, if that is even possible. Gorgeous!! And might I add that I am a bit envious or your Stamparatus…. I will have to wait until April for mine 🙁

Loving the details on this card. I also like seeing someone use the Fresh Fig color, it’s a great color, but sometimes I have a hard time using it. I think you brought it to life by adding the Wink of Stella to that die cut. Pretty card!
