Not the whole nine yards

Just because you could use lots of product on a card doesn’t mean you have to!  When I send out thank you cards, I need to make a bunch in a hurry, like this one:

I love the Waterfront set in the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Occasions Catalog — so much that it is the featured set at March’s Inkspiration Saturday event!  (Registration is open now!)

Now, there are 16 photopolymer stamps in this set.  This note card uses just two of them.

I hope you get the idea that with a relatively short list of supplies, you can still create something beautiful.  Here’s why this card works:

  1. A strip of ribbon provides texture.
  2. The circle shape is contrasted by the linear elements (ribbon, trees, sentiment).
  3. The pierced “stitching” around the circle echoes the weave of the ribbon.
  4. The layout implies a triangle — do you see it? — which is always pleasing to the eye.
