Birthday cake!

The Heartfelt Inkspiration team meeting in June was our annual “group drool,” when we examine every page of the new Stampin’ Up! catalog and point out the smallest, most fabulous details of projects and products.  This event has lasted into the later hours of the evening, and this year we never did get around to our make and take projects!  It’s great fun.

Former Artisan Design Team member Sue Plote often joins our meetings  — she is a friend of the team — and brings the perspective of one who loves packaging and containers.  She did a subtle but very effective job of selling me on the Celebration Time bundle; I couldn’t resist.

This July camp card, inspired by Amy Koenders, was my first project using the bundle.  I love everything about it!  I offered a choice of sentiments, and several stampers created a wedding version of this card.

Tip:  To save paper, cut the cake stand in the center of the Silver Foil mat.  It will be hidden by the white panel and no one will know there’s a hole in the mat — unless they read this blog, of course.

Do you love that luscious 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon?  I’m really glad that all three colors (Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, and Lemon Lime Twist) are in stock now!
