A winter sweater

What am I — nuts?  It’s been hot and humid in Illinois and I’m headed to similar weather in Thailand.  So what’s with the sweater?

The other evening my right-hand stamper, Elizabeth, and I were finalizing the designs for Splash of Inkspiration on July 29.  True to the featured stamp set, Colorful Seasons, participants will be making a pair of one card design for each of the seasons.

This is not one of them.

But as we were messing around (and it was a mess!), I had an idea to make something like a Christmas sweater.  Not the ugly ones, but something more classy.  This is the result.  Even though Elizabeth die cut lots of snowflakes, I used just this one, in both its positive and negative forms.

The Metal Rimmed Pearl is a really lovely embellishment, but if this was going through the mail, I’d replace it with a small punched circle of Glimmer Paper, to match the bands along the cable knit strip.

I love this card and I’m very hopeful we will make the card in a card camp.❣
