Last week was my last Watercolor Pencils 101 class of the spring. I’ve had a lot of fun working with this new product, and I hope to see an expanded color palette in the new annual catalog.
On the other hand, one thing we experimented with in class was achieving colors other than what is listed on the pencil. We created a chart of “pure” colors, but playing around yielded some interesting and exciting results!
For example, the leaves on this card are colored with the Old Olive pencil (the only green pencil), but when blended with Daffodil Delight, the effect was very different. My card here is a very pastel version of these colors; it was amazing to see how each participant’s project was unique!
I love this variation on spotlighting using this fabulous Sale-A-Bration paper. Do I need to remind you that we’re in the final days of 2017 Sale-A-Bration? On Saturday, April 1, it will all be over: no more incentive to sign up as a demonstrator, no more free items for a qualifying purchase, no more Stampin’ Rewards bonus. (If you need to refresh your memory about all this, read about 2017 Sale-A-Bration here, although be aware that additional free items have been offered and some are no longer available.)
