Stamp Review Crew: SAB Free-for-All

Welcome to this “exceptional” edition of the Stamp Review Crew’s twice-monthly blog hop.  Normally we gather on the first and third Monday of each month to show off one stamp set.  But on this 5th Monday of the month, we’re sneaking in an extra hop featuring the free-with-qualifying-purchase products of the 2017 Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Yes, it’s a free for all — get it?

There are a lot of bloggers participating in this hop, and you may have arrived here from Head Hopper Tanya Boser at Tinkerin’ in Ink.  She’s the Stamp Review Crew guru and a member of the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team.  I know.  Wow.

I reined myself in and focused on one main product:  the fabulous Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper.  On my first project, I colored the paper with the new (but temporarily unavailable) Watercolor Pencils.  We made a completely different card for my recent class, so I took a different tack:

Of course, I’m missing a sentiment, but I’m not quite ready to make an anniversary card for August!  I took the remaining piece of DSP and used Sponge Daubers for a quick coloring, then lightly colored the background with the Basic Gray pencil:

This Designer Series Paper seems heavier to me than most, so I made a simple baker’s box full of our favorite sweets:

The stamps I used for these projects are from another Sale-A-Bration product, Avant Garden — a set I was pretty sure I didn’t need (even if it was free!), but find myself using a lot.  I’m sure you’ll see it several times on this hop!

And speaking of, you’re on to the next blog on the list, Stampin’ Seasons, to enjoy the creations of Linda Callahan.  See you again soon!
