One of my small (ahem) collections is patterned glass, sometimes called pressed glass. There’s something about footed pieces like spooners and goblets that appeals to me. I never spend more than a couple of dollars for a piece, and I love them grouped on the mantel. Elsewhere in the house they hold cotton balls, cotton swabs, tea bags, paper cups, and sticky notes.
The Festive embossing folder, new in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog, reminds me of one of these patterns. Used to emboss Foil Sheets, it can add elegance to your project; here on Tip Top Taupe, the effect is casual and fun.
In organizing my cardstock, I realized that now is the time to use Tip Top Taupe — before it retires at the end of June. (I know that seems far away, but in just three months I’ll be holding the new catalog in my hands!) I love the “greige” of this color.
This card was another of my practice pieces for the Watercolor Pencils 101 class. Because this product has been wildly popular, it is now on backorder and in a few hours you will be unable to order it. Note that the February class has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 18. Registration is open now!
