The perfect mix and blend

Last weekend was my first Watercolor Pencils 101 class.  It was a perfect morning of stamping with friends:  lots of laughter and chatter interrupted by moments of silent concentration as they worked to perfect their techniques.

This card was not one we made; I used it as an example of how to shade to create dimension.

There’s some sparkle on the mixture in the bowl — it’s meringue that’s about to get some food coloring, mint extract, and chocolate chips.  (Must make those Meringue Mint cookies for camp next month!)

This would make such a cute anniversary card, I think!

The next session of Watercolor Pencils 101 is scheduled for Saturday morning, February 1 (revised date), at my DeKalb home.  Read more information and register online here.
