In last week’s newsletter (a weekly email “blurb”), I listed my tips for creating a quick card. (If you’re not a subscriber, sign up now!) This is another layout that is both quick and an efficient use of 12″ x 12″ patterned paper.
- Cut patterned paper 3⅞” x 3⅞” (you’ll get 9 cards from one 12″ x 12″ sheet!).
- Make a diagonal cut about 1″ up from the lower left corner to about 1″ down from the upper right corner of the square.
- Flat adhere halves to the top and bottom of a 4″ x 5¼” mat.
I think you can see how the two halves originally fit together. I adhered ribbon along the diagonal black mat before flat adhering the entire piece to a white card base.
If you’re having trouble visualizing how the directions actually work, let me know and I’ll take pictures of the process.
