Did you know that Swirly Birds is the most popular set in the Stampin’ Up! 2016-2017 Annual Catalog? I didn’t, until this week, but I’m not surprised. And it was a good choice for my first-ever Splash of Inkspiration last month. I’m pinning examples of projects made with Swirly Birds (and the coordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits dies) to a board to which Splash participants have been invited.
And this is one of the cards we made that Saturday morning. I wanted something really different from this stamp. Not that there’s anything wrong with flowers, of course, but you’ve seen them all over. Here the stripes of the two ribbons and the angled greeting play off all those curves, including the scallops on the vellum mat. Bonus: I used this card for a birthday and the post office said “No extra postage needed”!
