Filigree Egg

Debra Burgin 16-03 Filigree EggYes, I know it’s not really an egg, only an oval, but I think it will pass.  As soon as I saw the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits used in a circle window, I knew we would create an egg card in camp this month.  And here it is, possibly the only sugary egg I will have in 2016!

Just a word about the vellum flowers:  you can’t tell here, but they are cut from my rapidly dwindling supply of Sale-A-Bration Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack.  For Inkspiration Saturday, my team die cut around 800 of these flowers for one of my card designs.  Gulp!  I almost felt bad asking them to do it.  Almost.  Since then, I’ve cut them for stamp camp — I am so in love with the look — and learned a few things.  The Precision Base Plate, although so nice for the heart, is not the right option for the flowers.  Using the conventional sandwich on the Magnetic Platform worked very well, and the vellum die cuts were easy to poke out.
