Stamp Review Crew: Sale-A-Bration 2016

SAB 2016 bannerWelcome to this edition of Stamp Review Crew’s twice-monthly blog hop, showing off the products from Sale-A-Bration 2016!  Thanks to Tanya Boser for a great set of banners/buttons — the one at the top of this post will take you to a full (really full!)  list of blog hop participants.

I hope you arrived here via Kitty Stamp and loved what Betty dreamed up.  Today I’m using Botanicals for You (the first FREE item in the Sale-A-Bration catalog) on some cards that display my ongoing ombré obsession.  Yes, I’ve been here before, but I am still feeling it!  Sponging to create a blended ombré is a peaceful activity for me — you can’t rush!  For both of these cards I used the emboss resist technique.  Wiping the ink from the embossed areas and, finally, scrubbing quite hard when finished pops the white embossing.  I used Thick Whisper White card stock for these panels as it stands up to all the handling.

Debra Burgin Just for You OmbreThe colors, bottom to top, are Always Artichoke, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, and Pear Pizzazz.  The flowers match the colors in each band.  I accented the center of each flower with a dab of White Stampin’ Chalk Marker.

This next version is a camp card for February.  I was concerned about the weather forecast and cancelled the first camp (rescheduled for next Sunday, 2/21), so this card is new to all campers!  I wish I would have re-positioned the flowers (from What I Love), but they are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and are there for life.

Debra Burgin Just for You Ombre BannerThanks for stopping by!  After these navigation buttons (including one that will send you to the beautiful work of Nikki at My Sandbox), you’ll find the product list for these cards.  Bye!

  1. Two fabulous cards Debra! I love the ombre look to both of them! The repeated stamping of the small flower in each colour band is gorgeous and I love the pop of the bright flowers against the greens on the second card. Rochelle xo
