Stamp Review Crew: You’ve Got This

SRC-Youve-Got-This-bannerIs it going to be a Happy New Year?  Of course it is, because You’ve Got This!  I just know this Stamp Review Crew blog hop will be fabulous, as you’ve already seen if you’ve arrived here via Nancy Smith’s blog, Iguana Stamp.

As for me, well, I planned for this hop weeks ago, when I needed to make a card for a friend who was retiring.  What a great adventure she has ahead — I’m excited for her!  In addition to the Blackberry Bliss and black combination, I added some subtle glimmer with one of my favorite products from the 2015 Occasions Catalog:  Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (here, in Clear).  So terrific!  Although I love Dazzling Details, you do have to allow for drying time.  Stella dries quickly and can be applied very lightly.  It’s one of my favorite products available when the Occasions Catalog goes live tomorrow and  a must have.

If you click to enlarge the image below, tou may be able to tell that I stamped the flower on the banner, then added a duplicate flower head that I fussy cut.  It was colored in lighter tones than the one underneath it.  Instead of lifting the entire flower head with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the center with a blob of Multipurpose Glue and let it dry, then used Dimensionals under the edges.  This gives it more of a cup shape.
