I love using stamping products in unconventional ways, so when I saw a card by Lydia Fiedler (probably better known by her blog, Understand Blue), I knew I wanted to use it for this fall’s Inkspiration Saturday. This is very close to her version, but simplified so we could get 108 of them made during the day! I just adore the intense — bright! — coloring here, accomplished with ink refills and an Aqua Painter.
We did have frustrating issues with the Sleigh Ride Edgelits because there are tiny, tiny pieces of card stock that get stuck easily and must be cleaned out before using the die again. This is when I learned from one of the InkSat participants of the value of the Precision Base Plate, but I didn’t own it at the time. My second one is coming next week, thanks to a recent Weekly Deal. (The Sleigh Ride Edglits are sadly retired and no longer available, unless you want to buy one of my sets after January 4 at half price!)
