Welcome to Wonderland! I hope you’ll experience some of the magic that name implies as you hop through this edition of the Stamp Review Crew’s blog hop. If you are arriving from The Stamping Blok, I know you did! (Remember that you can click the banner above to find all the stampers participating today.)
So just how many tree stamps does a person need? At least this one more — that cluster of firs wouldn’t let me go! I’ve used it on a lot of projects (you can search for Wonderland here on my blog to see them), so my challenge was to think outside the box … and I did, with a star and circle! The star outlined with Dazzling Details (Silver Foil) was a given, but I wanted more. So I pierced a size-larger star on the Soft Sky circle, then started assembling.
But the sparkle wasn’t quite enough for me, so I carefully removed the circle from the card front and stitched through the piercing with Silver Metallic Thread. Then I finished the card.
But no, what about that gorgeous Silent Night? Could I add a silver-embossed piece of vellum curved to fit the circle? Sure! Just trace that curve ever so carefully and trim, then use the tiniest dots of Fine-Tip Glue to secure the vellum. Now that’s sparkle and shine — click the picture to enlarge it and you’ll see what I mean!
I’ll post the details later this week, along with some other pictures of this card. But for now, head to see what magic Tanya has for you at Tinkerin in Ink. See ya!
