Right. Around. The corner. Are you ready? We can help! The Stamp Review Crew inserted this “exceptional” blog hop in the middle of our scheduled lineup — exceptional because we normally focus on a single set for the hop. This time, we’re focusing on Valentine’s Day. You probably just enjoyed Nancy’s lovely creations at Iguana Stamp, or maybe you’re starting here — either way, simply click the banner above to see a complete list of the *19* stampers on the hop!
I designed this Grain Sack Heart for a blogger I follow in the “lifestyle/home” category. (I’ll share more with you in a few days; I hope I can actually send her this card as a thank-you for her inspiration.) The heart is made of paper, but it’s (hand) stitched and puffed.
I was so sure, so very sure, of the saying on this stamp — I thought it would be perfect for a Valentine theme. And I’ve actually seen it on Valentine’s cards. But it does not say, “Do more of what you love.” Still … in this frame and styled in a composition of winter and holiday items, it could pass, right?
I have not yet tired of white card bases and knew when I started working with Painted Petals that I’d make something like this Garden of Love card. Each of those hearts is punched out, but I discovered an alternative as I kept experimenting. Come back later this week for more!
Meanwhile, skip over Tanya’s Tinkerin in Ink and enjoy her work. (Thanks again, Tanya, for everything you do for The Stamp Review Crew!)
