Stamp Review Crew: Endless Wishes

SRC-Endless-Wishes-banner“Count it all joy” — that’s what I’m doing today with Endless Wishes, the photopolymer set that made an encore appearance in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog after selling out last year.  I’m happy about that, of course, but my true joy is for all the blessings I’ve been given.  That’s a subject for another post.

Meanwhile, did you arrive from Tinkerin in Ink with Tanya?  As I’ve mentioned, Tanya Boser is the Queen of the Stamp Review Crew.  I’m so grateful for her organization and creativity — check out the adorable banner and buttons, which keep you “in the loop”!

I’m not ashamed to say that when I see another stamper’s work that seems pretty darn perfect, I’m not too proud to copy.  And share.  Everything.  (You know, CASE.)  So it is with my first joy card, inspired to a large degree by Valerie Moody.  I love red and brown together, so that’s the direction I took.  Can you see the tiny pearls in the center of the snowflakes?  Diamonds and pearls:  so right.

Debra Burgin Endless Wishes in Crumb CakeWould you believe I envisioned this next card as a wink and a nod to a Nordic sweater?  No, it didn’t quite get there.  Instead, as I was involved in a lengthy conversation about failing parents and retirement homes, I spied a discarded die-cut banner in the cutting room.  After the phone call, it was good to redirect my thoughts and work on something joyous again!

Debra Burgin Endless Nordic WishesNow make your way (careful! it might be slippery!) to RunningwScissorsStamper, the blog of the fabulous Heidi Baks.  Enjoy, and be sure to return for December 15’s blog hop featuring Mixed Bunch!

I love these, Deb. They’re both so fun and different yet the “joyful” message is conveyed! I think the nordic touches on the second one are delightful! 🙂

  2. Yapha says:

Great cards, Debra! I love the colors on the first one. And I can see the Nordic sweater inspiration in the second, for sure.

  3. Tanya Boser says:

So much sparkly beauty here! I adore red and craft together, so the first card has me completely in love. The second card is beautiful also, and I can see Nordic in it also. Glad you found a way to cheer up again after such a heavy topic.

  4. Great cards Debra! Love the subtle hints of glitter and the using the banner to cut the ‘Joy’ out off. Looks great!

  5. Nancy says:

LOVE your cards! I didn’t get the wreath set and now I wish I had, just for the “joy”. Love the way you used the positive and the negative.

  6. Wendie says:

Love your projects – designs and colors.

  7. Dawn MacKay says:

Love those sparkles on the second card!!!

  8. Carol Carriveau says:

Both are wonderful, but the simplicity of the first card makes me very happy!

Tag! I will be CASEing your projects now 🙂
((Hugs)) to you re: the phone call.

Debra…the second card is my favorite…love the snowflake taking place of the “o”. So clever!
