How’s the weather in your neck of the woods, stampers? Here in north central Illinois it has been nippy — we ate supper by the fire Thursday and turned on the furnace Friday morning. Many of you have told me fall is your favorite season, and I feel the same way, so I’m happy to be hopping with The Stamp Review Crew using Truly Grateful! (You’ve probably arrived from Heidi Baks’ terrific blog, Running w Scissors Stamper. Remember that you’re hopping in a loop, but click the banner above to get to the entire hop list.)
This is a layout I’ve been using a lot lately; I really like putting a topper on the banner. After I took the picture I realized that I had used the wrong side of the banner; this side was stamped in Crumb Cake, but the Baked Brows Sugar side is more obvious. I am making many of these cards to thank the Lutheran ministers of my county. Did you know October is Clergy Appreciation Month?
We made a card last month with that wonderful Hello stamp from the set Hi There. One of my stampers asked, “Do you have a stamp that says Hey? I say that a lot.” And in fact, one of the other stamps in the set says exactly that! So this card, with a decorative panel made of embossed cross-sections of trees, is for you, Audrey! (PS — she loved it!)
I’ll post the recipes later this week (I promise). Now it’s time to hop forward to the beginning of the list, Kerry Willard Bray’s Peonies and Paper Chains. I love her work — I know you will, too!
