Stamp Review Crew: Daydream Medallions

SRC-Daydream-Medallions-banWow — we have lots of stampers playing in this edition of The Stamp Review Crew’s blog hop!  If you started at the beginning, you just enjoyed Dawn’s work at Tiddbits from Dawn.  Remember that you can click the blog hop banner at the top of each post to see a list of all 16 blogs this time.

I might as well confess here and now that my stamping for this hop was the first time my set played in the ink.  We got this set at convention a few years ago and apparently I didn’t do the make-and-takes there … sometimes I am distracted by the conversation and laughter at the table!

I’ve always seen a doily in the largest stamp in this set, and because I’ve been working on a Blendabilities class, I had an ideal motif for the center.  This reminds me of an imported, embroidered table piece you’d buy in a gift shop at a lakeside resort.  Or at least, I would!  I couldn’t bear to do anything with the card base for fear it would take away from the vellum.

Debra Burgin I Like YouI went to the opposite extreme and chose the smallest medallion in the set for an all-over pattern for this panel.  I’m pretty sure you can’t tell that the center of each medallion is a circle punched from the fabulous Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  It’s beautiful stuff –a must-have for the holidays.

Debra Burgin Christmas BlissTime to move on to Stamps, Paper, and Ink to see what Cindy’s come up with — enjoy!

I would love to see the first card in person. It is gorgeous here but I can imagine that IRL it is even more spectacular. And you must have a very steady hand and a keen eye to stamp the images on the second card so consistently…impressive!

Both cards are gorgeous! Using the largest medallion as a “doily” is brilliant and very beautiful. Your Christmas card is so sparkly and FUN!

WOW, theses are great cards, Debra!
Since I love coloring the first one caught my eye, but the creativity on the second one tops everything!
