Look who’s turning 4!

Debra Burgin Peter is 4Actually, no one I know is turning 4 … at least not for several months.  But I wanted to submit a card for this week’s challenge at Freshly Made Sketches, so I’m working ahead — way ahead!

FMS Final 123-001This one lived up to the word “challenge,” and I tossed one card that was frankly hideous unacceptable.  My card doesn’t follow the sketch precisely (I only noticed now that there’s supposed to be a sentiment), but we’ll see if the judges like it as much as I do!

Stamps:  Memorable Moments (p. 134)

Ink/Color:  VersaMark, Tempting Turquoise

Paper:  Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, Glimmer Paper (Red)

Other:  Heat Tool and Stampin’ Emboss Powder (Iridescent Ice), 1″ Circle Punch, 1¼” Circle Punch, Big Shot, Label Card Thinlits, Stampin’ Dimensionals

L O V E this card, Debra. Saved it to my “Great Birthday Cards” file for future reference. Our youngest grandson just turned 4, but 5 will fit just as well!

I love the sparkle on this card! And congratulations on working ahead. I always have the hardest time remembering that I’ve made something, when I work ahead. You’re probably much more organized than I am though. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

I think this is so fantastic, Deb. And we are happy with loose interpretations…makes the gallery more fun, lol!! (And otherwise the team would be disqualified every week) What is this working ahead that you speak of?? Well, the card is adorable and sure to be appreciated with the right recipient turns 4. Glad to see you this week at FMS!
