Make a wish!

Debra Burgin Make a WishYesterday was a busy day in my stamping world, what with Sale-A-Bration starting and one update after another from Stampin’ Up!  (Some don’t apply to you, don’t worry!)  I was in the studio most of the day, which was finally feeling the effects of our bitter cold weather (it was -14° outside when I first checked this morning, with a wind chill of -33°).  But it was quite pleasant with the fireplace roaring and a space heater close to my legs and feet.  DH was also working there, sorting through old photographs.

Productive?  Well, I really only finished two card designs, which gives you an idea how difficult the creative process is for me some days.  On the other hand, I am working far ahead, which is nice.

Back to Sale-A-Bration:  Because demonstrators are able to earn free SAB items in advance, I have seen/touched/inked several.  But what I love, love, love is the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper.  The colors are so refreshing and the patterns so fun.  So even through I’m not using a Sale-A-Bration stamp set in the card above, the three little banners to the side are all from that paper — and cut with the free Banner Punch, as a matter of fact!  And that background is Sweet Sorbet, too.  Doesn’t it just make your mouth water?

Don’t miss this:  See that Pool Party mat behind the sentiment tag?  It’s a piece 2″ x 3¼” punched at both ends with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  Thanks to Kristen Kortonick for that discovery — genius!
