Birthday greetings

Debra Burgin Birthday greetingsBecause I needed a birthday card today, I decided to use the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  (Click the sketch to get to this week’s post or the widget to the right to get to their site.)  It was my first time using Petite Petals from the new Occasions Catalog — or, not so new any more!  Those are such sweet little flowers, and simple to cut out with the coordinating punch, especially since the punch matches the flower no matter how it’s turned.  Thank you, Stampin’ Up!

I’ve been using Strawberry Slush quite a bit lately, and I was happy to find a piece of Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper that was perfect for this card.

A bit of yellow marker in the flowers adds a little zip, I think.

Stamps:  Petite Petals*, Wetlands

Ink/Color:  Raspberry Ripple, Stampin’ Write Marker (So Saffron)

Paper:  Whisper White, Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush

Other:  Big Shot, Banners Framelits*, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Deco Labels Collection Framelits, Petite Petals Punch*, Extra-Large Oval Punch, Pearl Basic Jewels, 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (Whisper White), Stampin’ Dimensionals
