Birthday boy!

Yesterday was Peter’s birthday party — 3 years old!  Does this look like a happy boy or what?

131124 Birthday #1I cropped out his parents (so sorry!), but it’s a funny picture of all of them because I made them say “Babushka!” — so who wouldn’t be grinning like crazy?  (In fact, if you’re facing Monday with something less than enthusiasm, I recommend saying it several times — maybe even in front of a mirror or to a grumpy co-worker or spouse.  It works!)  We went early to help set up, and the birthday boy got this little $3.51 item which thrilled him.  I called it a front-end loader, but he corrected me.  The boy knows his machinery!

Debra Burgin Birthday BoyHe knows his stamping, too, calling this a “swinging” card — so simple, I was able to whip it together just minutes before I was supposed to be in the car with the matching birthday cake.  The cake I spent more time on, making it Saturday evening in case a disaster would necessitate a trip to the bakery.  When I asked Peter what he thought his cake would look like, he said “Bwoo!” so of course I had to comply.  Would any grandmother do less?

Paper:  Marina Mist, Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper, Glimmer Paper (Silver), Whisper White, Real Red
