There’s hardly a day with Peter that isn’t fun — he has such a sunny disposition! Yesterday we went to the nursing home to visit. I hope we can do this for a long time, as he really does bring joy with him. It was the day for “Lots of Tots,” where they place the residents in a big circle and the toddlers in the middle with dolls and blocks and trucks and kitchen things and, because we were outside, sidewalk chalk.
He’s cautious about new experiences but usually not afraid. I love to ask him the “why” and “then what” questions. Last week we took twenty minutes before going into the grocery store to watch the workers repair potholes. Several of them came over to talk to us during their break. I am so blessed to have time for him.
Several weeks ago I thought I’d try a Nutella-like product and share it with Peter. Nobody told me it’s basically chocolate frosting! So sometimes I put a little dab of peanut butter and hazelnut spread on a couple of cheese crackers at the end of lunch. He loves it, I love it. We just don’t tell Mama.
