Debra Burgin 1308 YippeeYesterday was the first day in a long, long time that was not centered around packing or unpacking — at least most of it wasn’t.  After heading 45 minutes north to the hazardous waste center (thank you for being open on Sunday!), breakfast was a delight, especially seeing someone else from “home” also enjoying a day away as we left.

Being in the car together was like a vacation adventure, even if we didn’t travel all that far — and I felt a bit like the dog on this card.  Escaping!  Together!  Talking!  And not a sentence that started “Do you know where …” or “Have you seen …” or “What happened to …”!

I love the Storybook Friends set.  Usually we have omitted the words, but I don’t know what else would express this dog’s action and express better than Yippee!

Great card, that puppy jut makes me smile! It made me think of the phrase, I think from Portlandia, “just put a bird on it.” I think “just put a puppy on it” would be a great theme!
