Temps have cooled off considerably here — we were in sweatshirts early yesterday morning as Peter and I patrolled the yard! I noticed then that my cement birdbath looks pretty pathetic, with a big chip off one side. I’ve had it for decades, and it’s scheduled to be with us at the next house, but it’s a good thing I like vintage garden gear, as it has seen better days.
I had this image from For the Birds stamped and colored for weeks before I finalized the card design. I was making it way too complicated, when all the tag needed was a soft card base and simple ribbon treatment. No knot, no bow — just the ribbon adhered to the vellum panel and the brad affixed through both. Then the vellum is attached to the card front with a bit of carefully applied adhesive.
