The Lion King

Debra Burgin 1307 Lion KingI had to laugh when I was on my way to finishing designing this card, because the lion is so little and the setting so big!  You have a lot to live up to, Simba!  And so this would make a cute baby card.

Aside from the fact that it’s pretty tedious to cut out the lion’s face (especially if you’re making several for a Convention swap, hint hint!), this card is fun to make.  The small (1¼”) lengths of that beautiful ruffly ribbon just follow the curve of the center circle.  The mat on that is from the Circle Collection Framelits — the perfect size for this.

Stamps:  Beautifully Baroque (p. 113), Zoo Babies (p. 54), Dictionary (p. 100)

Ink/color:  VersaMark, Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede

Paper:  So Saffron, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Sugar

Other:  Heat Tool and Stampin’ Emboss Powder (Clear), Big Shot, Ovals Collection Framelits, Decorative Label Punch, Circles Collection Framelits, 1⅜” Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals
