Sweet lamb

Debra Burgin 1306 Sweet LambStorybook Friends is another set I bought right away when it first came out, but then never used in camp … until this month.  With the “Oh, Baby!” theme, I just had to use this lamb.  This image makes me say, “Little lamb, who made thee?” from the beautiful poem by William Blake.

If you have this set, you know the images have sentiments.  I’m not a fan of cutting off the words — I’d rather omit them when I ink and stamp.  Here’s how:

  1. Mask the words with a piece of transparent tape.
  2. Ink up the stamp.
  3. Remove the tape.
  4. Stamp the image.

This is my preferred method for omitting, particularly useful when using StazOn ink.

Stamps:  Storybook Friends (p. 52), Dictionary (p. 100)

Ink/Color:  StazOn Jet Black, Stampin’ Ink Refills (Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Smoky Slate), Crumb Cake

Paper:  Soft Sky, Watercolor Paper, Crumb Cake, Whisper White

Other:  Big Shot, Circles Collection Framelits, Floral Frames Collection Framelits, Aqua Painter, Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon (Pool Party), Vintage Trinkets, Stampin’ Dimensionals
