Double die cutting

Maybe there’s a better name for this technique (that I first saw demonstrated by Tanya Boser).  It’s simply re-cutting a die-cut to make it a different shape or size.  On my card yesterday, I re-cut a mat cut with a Labels Framelits so that it fit the stamped panel better.  Here’s how to do it:

  • Die cut some card stock.  (I know you know you need a cutting pad on top of this sandwich!)

  • Reposition the die on the die cut so that only one side of the shape will be cut  (remember that the cutting edge is the inner edge of the die) and run it through the Big Shot:
