Faux Bleach

Debra Burgin 1304 Faux BleachThe weekend here was spring-like and mostly sunny, so Friday was a play day with Peter.  He is such an outdoors boy (Crackers, juice anyone?  No, “Peter want to go out and pway!”).  Later, while he was napping, my sneak peek box of Stampin’ Up! products from the new catalog arrived; I held back opening the box until Saturday.  Wait till you see the colors — amazingly beautiful and so inspiring!  Although we will be making “manly” cards in May, look forward to baby items in June so we can use the gorgeous pastels that are making their debut on May 31.

Yes, you read that date correctly:  The Stampin’ Up! 2013-2014 Annual Catalog is effective May 31; the last day to purchase from the 2012-2013 catalog is June 3.  Love that overlap — but remember that retiring accessories are available only while they last.  Stamp sets that are discontinued will be available until June 3.

Meanwhile, this is the last of our April camp cards.  We added the Faux Bleach technique to the ring.  You may have seen this technique with the addition of color over the Whisper White Craft ink, but I wanted the sheer, irregular look here.  So pretty (try it on Midnight Muse for a stunning variation).

Ink/Color:  Whisper White Craft (pad and re-inker), Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker

Other:  Heat Tool and Stampin’ Emboss Powder (White), Aqua Painter, Color Spritzer Tool*, Big Shot, Secret Garden Framelits, Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 5/8″ Organza Ribbon (Whisper White)
