The Penny-Farthing

Debra Burgin 1302 Penny-FarthingI stumbled on another blogger’s research into this image and learned that this is not just a bicycle, but a penny-farthing.  In its day, it was also known as a man slicer.  Yes.

I love this Sale-A-Bration image and decided to play off all the curves with the addition of some angles.  I found that all this layering was best accomplished before adding it to the embossed card front — much easier to get the elements aligned.

These colors may seem patriotic, but I think they’re suitable any time of year, especially for a man.  This card is the first I’ve made using Not Quite Navy for many months.  Midnight Muse turned my head!
