Life is like a box of

Debra Burgin 2013 PIFH #2I know you’re thinking “chocolates,” but you’d be wrong in this case.  Because this is empty!  I sacrificed the three chocolates inside so there would be room for something else, like a gift card to Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com.

You’ve seen these boxes elsewhere, I’m sure, but I took the easy route:  I bought a heart-shaped box of chocolates and just covered it instead of making the box from scratch.  The Stampin’ Up! Multipurpose Liquid Glue adhered the big red hearts perfectly, even to the shiny box.  The main element on this is almost the same as the Herringbone Heart I showed you Monday.  I added some piercing to the white mat.

We’ll be making this project at the Pay-It-Forward House event Saturday.  What the stampers do with their chocolates is their business, right?

Stamps:  Loving Thoughts (p. 136)

Ink/Color:  Real Red

Paper:  Read Red, Whisper White, Designer Series Paper Stack (Brights), Summer Smooches DSP, Twitterpated DSP

Other:  Big Shot, Hearts Collection Framelits, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin’ Pierce Mat, Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Great idea! I received on of those boxes this week and it had a darling Bernese puppy on the front. Yes, the chocolates were very good.
