My first attempt at “Chalkboard”

Debra Burgin 2013 SAB ChalkboardAnd I must say I’m pretty pleased!  This week I’m trying to stamp with Sale-A-Bration sets, and this stamp from Vintage Verses is a great Chalkboard set.  If you’re thinking this technique uses chalk or is anything like the Black Magic technique of old, think again.  We’ll be doing this technique in my February camps — so you’ll see then just how simple and cool it is!

Stamps:  Vintage Verses

Ink/Color:  VersaMark, Whisper White Craft, Stampin’ Write Marker (Island Indigo)

Paper:  Pool Party, Basic Black, Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper*

Other:  Heat Tool and Stampin’ Emboss Powder (White), Stampin’ Sponge, Signo Gel Pen (White), Color Spritzer Tool, Smooch Spritz (Vanilla Shimmer), Stampin’ Dimensionals

Very dramatic. Love the palette and the technique.

Awesome! Glad it’s not like Black Magic. I was not successful with that!
