Even before the first official day of Leadership, I participated in a shoebox swap in Orlando. Those of you who attend stamp camp work on “shoebox” projects — you receive a card kit with card stock pieces and embellishments and work with tools in the shoebox to complete the card.
Essentially, that’s the same way this works, except that we were creating eighteen different cards from eighteen different demonstrators in just four hours. Meanwhile, another 18 cards were already made up and swapped with half of the group who were working on another 18.
I know it sounds confusing. The first time I did one of these, at Convention a few years ago, I just couldn’t get it through my head how it was going to work, but it did — perfectly! And it’s lots of fun. OK, and maybe a little stressful.
