Die-cut swing Valentine

Debra Burgin 1301 CH #1Lucky ladies at today’s Colonial House camp — they’ll be making this card full of new product!  If you read yesterday’s post about the Valentine Treat Bundle, you’ll recognize this limited-edition stamp.  Reasons to love it, aside from the bundle price?  (1) It can be punched out with the Full Heart Punch or one of the Hearts Collection Framelits.  (2) It’s matted perfectly with one of the hearts from the new Hearts a Flutter Framelits.

Remember, though, that this stamp is part of the Valentine Treat Bundle that’s only available January 3-21!

I’m not really sure of the name of this fold, just that it’s fun and easy.  But a challenge to explain!  Perhaps this photo of the card “open” will clarify:

Debra Burgin 1301 CH #1bDoes that help?  The heart die is only cut on one half (the right half of the front of the card).  That’s why it swings when the card is opened.

Although this promotion will be ending before my camps are finished this month, stampers will be making a similar card — not to worry!  It’s much easier to understand how this card works when you make it yourself.

Oh, and subscribers to the Inkspiration By Mail (IBM) Club will also make a card of this type!
