A tropical evergreen

Debra Burgin Bleached evergreenDoesn’t this look a little tropical to you?  As I was finalizing my projects for the November camps (all about evergreens), I wondered about stamping the fir sprig image from Watercolor Winter in bleach.

This is the result, stamped on Lucky Limeade.  You can see the decidedly blue tint to the bleached areas, which is why I paired the stamped panel with Baja Breeze.  Interestingly, over a week later, the bleached areas are no longer bluish, just a creamy, pale ivory-green.  Had I known how the bleach would age, I would have chosen a different pairing.  This card seems to say “palm trees” to me — hence the title of this post.

Well it doesn’t matter, as it’s not a Christmas card, it’s a congratulatory greeting to one of my downline who was recently promoted.  Good for you, Crystal!
