Gray sparkle

Debra Burgin 1209 Gray SparkleHere’s the last of the cards we made in camp in September.  It’s kind of subtle, but we dyed the Glimmer Paper Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade for a “lite Halloween” feel.  A variation used all Pretty in Pink, which was so beautiful I submitted it for a contest.

But my favorite part of this card is the Etruscan Elegance image, embossed with a custom blend of black powder and Dazzling Diamonds.  (October’s tutorial was about custom-blend embossing powders.  These tutorials are available only to subscribers of my monthly newsletter.  Click HERE to subscribe!)

Love that wheel!  However, I was through half my classes last month before someone pointed out that I have it upside-down!  I don’t know — I think it looks more like an elegant iron fence.  Does it look goofy to you?

 Stamps:  Etruscan Elegance Jumbo Wheel*

Ink/Color:  VersaMark, Classic Ink Refill (Pretty in Pink, Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango)

Paper:  Basic Gray, Glimmer Paper (Silver), Brushed Silver, Vellum Card Stock

Other:  Sponge Daubers, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Emboss Powder (Black), Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter, 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (Basic Black), Big Shot, Large Scallop Edgelits, Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folders

Really, I get nervous about dropping my large lap top when I have to spin it upside down!

My first impression was garden gate so I am with you on this presentation of just a hint of Victorian spooky,

Can’t wait to see the pink version.

    It’s not upside down… it’s just another option 😉
    Beautiful and elegant card. WOW!

  4. Until you told me the image was upside down, I never would have known. Such a lovely card with all that quiet elegance and sparkle. Hope the one you submitted for a contest wins!

  5. This is just GORGEOUS! Love all the details on it and the sparkle.
