Tuesday Tip: Stampin’ Spritzer

This month in camp we’re experimenting with some custom “potions.”  On one card, we’re using the Stampin’ Spritzer and a stencil on the card front.  I wanted to use More Mustard on So Saffron card stock, and I made several tries before I was pleased with the recipe.  I kept track of each attempt (like a scientist!!!) until I liked this one:  fill the barrel of the Spritzer 3/4 with rubbing alcohol and add 20 drops of re-inker.

It takes a bit of solution to get a good stencil effect, so I knew I’d be remixing it several times over the month.  To simplify matters, I marked the barrel at the 3/4 mark.  Now, how did I know where 3/4 was?  I used my Stampin’ Up! Grid Paper.  Lucky for me, the barrel measures 4″ long, so the 3/4 mark is at 3″.  Simple!

BTW, you may see other recipes for the spritz solution — I use rubbing alcohol instead of water because the paper dries fairly quickly.
