We had a wonderful time in Colorado last weekend at Erin and Nick’s wedding. We went with toddler Peter and his parents and had a lot of fun together (in spite of a fall I took shortly after arriving that sent me to Urgent Care). The weather was perfect for the wedding — good thing, because it was outdoors. This family doesn’t have a good track record with outdoor ceremonies!
This is the card I made for them. It’s the first and last time you will see this ruffled heart, made with vellum card stock. It just didn’t want to turn with the curves, even though I snipped the non-pierced edge. It doesn’t look too bad, but it’s not what I really wanted.
Notice the new embossing folder! Just when I was satisfied with the all-over folders I already owned, here came Lacy Brocade — absolutely stunning! I saw it IRL at Convention, when they used it to show off the Core’dinations Card Stock. Wow, did it ever! That cluster of products at the top of page 6 immediately went on an order.
I love the little tag pinned onto the ribbon knot; I do this a lot. This one makes me laugh, however, because it looks like it’s holding the ribbon together: “Love will keep us together”! Hope that song gets stuck in your head now!
