Something I missed the last time I was in Salt Lake City for Stampin’ Up! Convention was a visit to the home office in Riverton, Utah. So after I picked up my Convention bag, I boarded a bus for the hot, sunny trip halfway back the way I had come.
We toured the offices at our own pace (and only in permitted areas — sorry no sneak peek from the next catalog!). It was hard to get a good picture because there were clusters of demonstrators all over, most of whom were probably as awe-struck as I was.
It was just so beautiful!
This was a little corner of the Legacy Room, a collection of displays like the one above, regularly updated to reflect changes in Stampin’ Up! products. Notice the En Français on the black wall and the seat. So many details to take in.
And what I was struck by was how effortless it all looked. So natural, so right. It has inspired me to look more closely at my surroundings and clear out the things that aren’t visually pleasing. I wonder if that’s even possible!
Yesterday I was struggling with back pain, but I did accomplish something not on the to-do list (that I wrote before I left!): I emptied a plastic file box full of my former teaching resources. I’m just not going back to that scenario, so what’s the point? And I need the box in the studio.
I still owe you some tips about the card from Monday — I won’t forget!
