For Erin’s shower

Debra Burgin Erin's shower cardAlso on Sunday was the bridal shower for DH’s grandniece, Erin.  The invitation for the shower assigned us a “like to”; ours was “Erin and Nick like to eat ice cream.”  When I looked at their gift registers, I noticed a lot of red items, so I decided on a red and white color scheme for the card.  Imagine my delight to see this on their wedding web site after I had made the card:

Pretty cool, eh?  I love using Cherry Cobbler and Riding Hood Red together.  And I just had to use a little leftover ribbon from the Holiday Mini last year as a graphic counterpoint to all the swirls and flowers.  I was so hoping this ribbon would return in a multitude of colors, but alas.

Our shower gift was four porcelain ice cream bowls in fun colors with polka dots, some ice cream toppings, and a scoop.  I’ve ordered them a red ice cream maker for their wedding present, and we’ll bring some additional related items (that didn’t arrive in time for the shower, grrr) when go out for the wedding.  I love themes!
